Battery Disposal Information
Notice on the Disposal of Waste Batteries
The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form supplied to them (end-users):
1. Free Return of Waste Batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally required to return waste batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can return waste batteries free of charge to a local municipal collection point or to retail outlets.
As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back waste batteries. Our take-back obligation is limited to waste batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. You can therefore either return waste batteries of this type to us with sufficient postage or deliver them free of charge directly to our dispatch warehouse at the following address: [UNIT 10 EXPLORER ,VOYAGER PARK, PORTFIELD ROAD, PORTSMOUTH, PO3 5FL, GB]
2. Meaning of the Battery Symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
For batteries containing more than 0.0005% mercury, more than 0.002% cadmium, or more than 0.004% lead by weight, the chemical symbol for the respective pollutant is located under the bin symbol: "Cd" stands for Cadmium, "Pb" for Lead, and "Hg" for Mercury.
